Countries and the Continental Cup: managing outside Brazil

Updated on November 4, 2026

The game world has Brazil, with four divisions, and six neighbours: Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Peru, each with one top league. The clubs and players are fictional; the countries and cities are real. When you create a game, you can choose Brazil only, which runs lighter on older devices.

Leagues without relegation

The neighbouring leagues have no promotion or relegation. Argentina has 20 clubs and the other countries have 16. The board judges you by position, and a high finish earns a Continental Cup place. Since there's no lower division in the game, neighbouring clubs also sign prospects from the lower tiers of their own country. TV money is lower than in Série A: R$ 5 million in Argentina and R$ 1.3 to 2.5 million elsewhere.

In the first season, places go to the clubs with the highest reputation in each country. If the National Cup winner is already in the Série A top 6, the place passes to the next team in the table.

How it works

There are 8 groups of 4, with no two clubs from the same country in a group, playing home and away. The top 2 in each group reach the round of 16. Knockout ties are also two-legged, including the final, and group winners play the second leg of the round of 16 at home. If the aggregate is level, the tie goes to penalties. Matches are on Wednesdays, in weeks without the national cup, so no club plays both in the same week.

Is it worth it? The prize money says yes

Just playing in the group stage earns a club R$ 1.5 million. The round of 16 pays R$ 2.5 million, and the prize reaches R$ 15 million for the winner. For a Uruguayan club, whose TV money is R$ 1.3 million, a good run changes the year's finances. Reputation rises too, and stadiums fill up more for cup matches.

Handling the schedule

Playing on Sunday and Wednesday is tiring. Rotate the squad in less important matches and avoid the high press in busy weeks. Cards and suspensions count separately in each competition, so a player suspended in the league can still play in the Continental Cup.

Working in another country

Job offers can come from any country, depending on your reputation. There is also a single market: you can sign from any league, but you know less about players abroad, so it pays to send the scout before making an offer. Winning a league outside Brazil unlocks the Champion abroad achievement.
